Man, I don't know about y'all, but there's something about Easter weekend that just hits different down here in South Texas. Maybe it's the way the weather finally decides to cooperate, or the smell of somebody's backyard BBQ drifting down the street, but it always feels like the whole town takes a collective breath.

Growing up, Easter was one of those weekends where the whole extended family somehow ended up under one roof. Cousins you hadn't seen since Christmas, tías you didn't even know existed, and enough food to feed half the county. The egg hunt was serious business too. Don't let anybody tell you different.

Now that I'm older, I appreciate it for different reasons. It's one of the few times the pace of life actually slows down a little. People are at church, at home, outside with their kids. There's something grounding about that.

Curious what Easter looks like for folks around here these days. Do you still do the big family get-togethers, or has it scaled down over the years? Any traditions that have been passed down that you'd never give up? Or maybe some newer ones you've started with your own family?
